Annelize Meyer

I'm Annelize, a mom of a teen and longtime teacher.

I started noticing something in my own home: sometimes the more I remembered, reminded and managed for my daughter, the fewer opportunities she had to practice doing those things for herself.

That changed the way I looked at raising a capable young adult.

I created this free series to share the five shifts that helped me begin stepping back in small, practical ways.

This is for you if…

You find yourself reminding your teen over and over.

You sometimes wonder why they don't just start without being asked.

You are carrying things they may be ready to carry themselves.

You want them to become more responsible and independent, but you are not always sure when to help and when to step back.

You want to prepare them for adulthood without expecting independence overnight.
